Tokyo Gendai 2026 has successfully come to a close. UP Gallery would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the collectors, curators, art professionals, and friends who visited us at Booth M07 in the MIKI Sector at PACIFICO Yokohama.

It was a pleasure to share Beyond the Image: Memory, Material, and Migration with audiences from near and far. Bringing together Mia Liu, Arthur Ou, Mona Kuhn, and Cristina de Middel, the presentation explored the expanding possibilities of contemporary photography—from sculptural and material approaches to historical photographic processes and constructed narratives.

We are deeply grateful to the four artists for bringing their thoughtful and inspiring practices to Tokyo Gendai, and to everyone who took the time to visit our booth, engage with the works, and share meaningful conversations with us.
