UP Gallery is pleased to present artist Wu Chia Yun’s solo exhibition, “on the way home,” at our 2F screening room. Since her duo exhibition with the gallery in 2019, where we showcased her photography and mixed media works: “Lonely Island,” we are excited to highlight another significant aspect of her artistic practice: her film works.

In this solo exhibition at UP Gallery, Wu brings together films that have rarely been shown together, featuring three fiction films: “The Farewell” (2013), “A Falling Dust” (2017), and “Portray a State” (2020). Wu’s films often commemorate a person or an event, exploring the future within regret and questioning freedom and nihilism in tranquility. We sincerely invite you to view these films with us.
