We are delighted to share that A place, as a thing among things, Laura Letinsky’s first solo exhibition in Taiwan, is now on view at UP Gallery.

Although Typhoon Bavi prevented us from holding the planned opening gathering with the artist, we are grateful that Laura Letinsky was able to travel to Taiwan and that the exhibition has opened as scheduled. We sincerely thank everyone for your understanding and support during this time.

The exhibition brings together three significant bodies of work—Who Loves the Sun (2022–), Albeit (2009–2010), and Ill Form and Void Full (2010–2015)—offering a rare opportunity to experience Laura Letinsky’s distinctive photographic practice in Taiwan. Through still-life photography, she invites us to reconsider everyday objects, domestic space, and the ways images shape our perception, memory, and desire.
