We would like to thank all who came to the 2014 Art Taipei, Uniquephoto Gallery E05. New media has always been a unique field it requires viewers who have a great sense of character to understand its true beauty. Even though our booth was a little far from the entrance our works were still breath-taking.Lots of collectors from around the world were impressed by our works and hope to see more works from Yichia Liao and Murphy Chen. On the other hand the topic for this year “Dear Art” was also very interesting.  After five days of seeing various contemporary artworks, one must have a few things to say to”Art”. We would like to share a letter to “Art” with you.

Dear Art,

The world is filled with different price tags. It seems as if when we open our eyes we are surrounded by money. Yet you are so different from the products I know. In various booths and walls, you strip down to the core and show your true colors. You do not have a specific purpose, unlike shoes or bags you do not have special effects, unlike some medicine that causes side-effects You do not need a sales representative, unlike other products that need to be promoted, you are unique and confident. Every time I stand before you, I must dismantle all complicated thoughts, pride, prejudice, in order to understand you and even truly relate to you. And sometimes, those rare and unforgettable moments, I fall for you. Because I see in you the purest and sincere part of me. You appear in various forms, quietly but boldly telling me a touching story, a deep meaning. Sometimes you simply mesmerize me with your appearance. These are the times when I wish I could take you home, to see you every day, and to be moved by you. A lot of people say I am naïve, that I should not choose you, you who sometimes do not even have a form. Cars can take people to faraway places, watches are a grand symbol. Nevertheless, I admit I am naïve, lingering between the special memories I share with you. Thank you for knowing me, I hope we meet again soon.
