2017 ArtTaipei has come to an end and during these five days, it attracted around 65,000 people to the event. This year a total of 123 international galleries participated and UP Gallery is proud to be in the Frontier sector of the fair. This sector focuses on new mediums and experimental works. We are glad to exhibit works by Danila Tkachenko, Yichia Liao, and Murphy Chen in this sector. Moreover, Yichia Liao’s Flower-time-1 and Danila Tkachenko’s Monument “The Glory of the Space Explorers” were chosen by the fair as the top ten photographic works to see this year! Furthermore, Sean Corcoran the curator of prints and photographs from the Museum of the City of New York came to our stand and showed great interest in our artists. Danila’s works and Yichia Liao’s photobook Summon Image earned great praise and we look forward to future collaborations.

On the other hand, this is Danila’s first appearance in Taipei and we are proud to have received such great feedback from collectors, audiences, and the art world. ArtTaipei acted as a lead up to his solo exhibition at our gallery and many works have already been collected and we are beyond grateful that many works are also on hold.
